This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets out the privacy practices of the Company with respect to the entire content on www.peppill.com and all of it subdomains, PepPill® apps (the “Platform”, which includes all applications including but not limited to Mobile apps, Tablet apps, Websites, other forms of applications under the PepPill® brand) or in relation to the services rendered by us, including our facilitation through the Platform of the purchase of pharmaceutical products and nutraceutical products (which shall also include Over the Counter (OTC) and wellness products offered by third-party Merchants) (“Product(s)”) from retail pharmacies and the facilitation of services by third parties which may include delivery of Products as ordered by You via the Platform (the “Services”) and how we use, process, disclose and try to protect such information.
The Platform is owned and operated by Dosemeds Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013, having its registered office at No 143/6C, 3rd Floor, (3A), Eswaran Salai, Behind Marg Digital Zone, Off OMR, Karapakkam, Chennai, TN – 600097, IN (the “Company”, which expression would mean and include its officers, successors and permitted assigns).
This Privacy Policy forms an integral part of the Company’s Merchant Terms of Use, the Merchant Agreement and Consumer Terms of Use and such other terms that may be applicable to You depending on your use of the Platform (collectively, the “Terms of Use”), which govern your access to and use of the Platform and/or the Services.
This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with, inter alia:
- Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”);
- Rule 4 of the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011 (“SPDI Rules”); and
- Regulation 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (“Intermediary Guidelines”).
We request you to go through this Privacy Policy and the Terms carefully before you decide to access the Platform.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the words “us”, “we”, and “our” refer to the Company and all references to “you”, “your” or “user”, as applicable, refer to the person who accesses, uses and/or engages with the Platform in any manner.
General:
- By accessing / using the Platform or the Services, or by otherwise giving us your information, you confirm that you have the capacity to enter into a legally binding contract under Indian law; in particular, the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and have read, understood, agreed to, and accepted the practices, policies, and processes outlined in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use and you understand and accept that you shall be bound by the Privacy Policy.
- You hereby consent to our collection, use, sharing, storage, disclosure, and / or transfer of your information pursuant to the terms of this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change, modify, add or delete portions of the terms of this Privacy Policy, at any time, at our sole discretion, and your continued use of the Services or the Platform, following any such amendments to the Privacy Policy, will be deemed as an implicit acceptance of the Privacy Policy in its amended form. You are requested to review the Privacy Policy from time to time to keep yourself updated with any changes; modifications made to the terms hereof.
- If you are accessing or using the Services or the Platform from any location outside the Republic of India, you understand and accept that you do so at your own risk. Neither the Company nor the Platform may be subject to, or compliant with, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you may be located. You alone shall be responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
- If you do not agree with anything in this Privacy Policy, please do not use this Platform or any of the Services.
All capitalized terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to in the Terms of Use.
- Collection of Information
- Information collected from you.
- The Company collects and stores any information you enter on the Platform or provide to us in any other way. We strive to only collect personal information that is adequate, relevant, and limited to achieve the purpose(s) for which it was collected.
- If you are a user visiting our Platform, availing our Services or visiting the PepPill co-branded brick-and-mortar Merchant store, you understand that the following personally identifiable information (“PII”) may be collected from you:
- Information provided by you at the time of registration such as your name, age, email id, contact details, username and password.
- If you wish to register as a Merchant on the Platform, you shall also be required to provide such details which may include, inter-alia details regarding: (i) your enterprise, (ii) your licensed premise(s), (iii) such licenses required to be obtained by you under applicable law, (iv) the registered pharmacist(s) employed with you and such other details as may be requested by the Company from time to time. Providing additional information beyond what is required at the time of registration is entirely optional and can be altered or removed by you at any time.
- Information that you provide directly to the Company via email or electronic communication.
- Information that you provide to the Company over telephone. The Company may make and keep a record of such information shared by you.
- Information that you provide to the Company in physical form, whether sent through post or courier or handed over to the Company’s representatives, agents or delivery personnel.
- Information that you provide to us on when You inquire about our Services, post feedback, participate in any online survey, interact with us on social media, fill out any contact forms for us to assist you on the request raised by you, provide it to us directly such as through business interactions with you.
- Information about you that is publicly available or from such third parties who the Company partners with.
- We may also collect information regarding the Services you avail on the Platform, including the products you may order (including pharmaceutical products / nutraceutical products, etc.).
- In certain limited cases, you may have the option of not providing certain information; however, in those situations you may not be able to take the advantage of certain features on the Platform, for which such information may be required.
- For abundant clarity, we may also collect sensitive personal data or information (as understood under Rule 3 of the SPDI Rules) relating to you, as and when you access / use the Platform or our Services, including health information, electronic health records, medical history, details laid out in any prescription you may upload or share with us, etc. We may also collect information, subject to applicable law requirements, for purposes of payment (such as your credit card / debit card details), your billing and shipping address(es).

- Cookies and other tracking technologies:
- Our Platform uses cookies and other tracking technologies. Cookies are small portions of information saved by your browser onto your computer/mobile (“Cookies”). Cookies are used to record various aspects of your visit to the Platform and may serve to recall information previously indicated or submitted by a user. Further, third-party login credentials and other related information may also be stored in your browser to ensure continuity of sessions between 2 (two) or more visits to the Platform. The Company uses information collected from Cookies and other related technologies or other locally stored information, to provide you with uninterrupted service and improve your overall user experience. The Company does not use Cookies or other locally stored information to save personal information for unauthorized uses. If you click on a link to a third-party website through the Platform, such third party may also transmit cookies to you. This Privacy Policy does not cover the use of Cookies by any third parties, and we aren’t responsible for their privacy policies and practices. Most browsers allow you to control Cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block Cookies with your browser.
- Tracking technologies may record information such as internet domain and host names, internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser software and operating system types, stream patterns, and dates and times that the Platform is accessed. Our use of cookies and other tracking technologies allow us to improve our Platform for your experience.
- At all times, you may refuse all cookies on your browser by changing your settings to the extent permissible on your device. However, by doing so, you may not be able to use certain features on the Platform or take full advantage of all the offerings and interest-based advertising.
- Location Information: If you permit us to access information about your location (including general location information derived from the network you use to access the Services), we collect the precise or general location information provided by your device to appropriately tailor certain regional settings, such as preferred language and allow the user to view and select the Merchants which are in closest proximity to the user’s geographical location.
- The IT Act and the SPDI Rules regulate the collection, usage, retention and disclosure of PII, which are defined under the SPDI Rules as any information that relates to a natural person, which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available to a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person. All PII is provided by you to us voluntarily. By providing us your PII, you provide your express consent to us to collect, receive, possess, store, deal, handle, process, transfer and disclose to third parties your PII in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
- The Company is the sole owner of the information collected through the Platform.
- Usage of the Information collected
- Use of the Information for Services
- The primary goal of the Company in collecting the information is to provide you an electronic platform for the purpose of providing the Services as defined in the Terms of Use as the case may be. The Company may use the information provided by you in the following ways:
(a) To help provide you the Services. This may include sharing the information provided by you with Merchants or any other third parties;
(b) To observe, improve and administer the quality of the Service being provided;
(c) To remember the basic information provided by you for effective access;
(d) To confirm your identity in order to determine your eligibility to use the Platform and avail the Services;
(e) To notify you about any changes to the Platform;
(f) To update the Platform with new features;
(g) To improve the functionality of the Platform;
(h) To analyse how the Platform is used and diagnose any technical problems that may arise from it;
(i) To collate and generate demographic information or derivative data which shall not include any PII of any user;
(j) To develop, create or offer new products or services;
(k) To enable the Company to comply with its legal and regulatory obligations;
(l) For purposes of audit and quality checks;
(m) To contact you, during or after orders, for updates, grievance redressal, customer service, and for follow-ups;
(n) For the purpose of sending administrative notices, Service-related alerts and other similar communication with a view of optimizing the efficiency of the Platform;
(o) Doing market research, troubleshooting, protection against error, project planning, to prevent fraud and other criminal activity;
(p) For research and development purposes;
(q) For any other purpose connected with the business of the Company;
(r) to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities or situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person including that of our employees, safety of the Company’s assets, violations of our Terms, or as otherwise required by law; and
(s) To reinforce the Terms of Use or Merchant Terms.
- Sale of Assets, Merger, Acquisition, Bankruptcy
Information collected from you may be transferred to a third party as a result of a sale or acquisition, merger or bankruptcy involving the Company, without any intimation to you.
- Use of third-party software
The Platform may have certain features / functionalities, or may otherwise utilize, third-party software for the purposes of enhancing your overall experience in utilizing the Platform. For instance, the Platform may offer payment options to you utilizing third-party point of sale infrastructure or make a payment gateway available for the purposes of the completing any payment which may need to be made over the Platform.
- Sharing of Information
- We may collect, analyze, use, publish, create and sell de-identified information, of which your PII, for any business or other purpose not prohibited by applicable law, including for research and marketing purposes. To be clear, the Company will not share PII to any third party (except as may be specifically provided for in this Privacy Policy, in which cases the Company shall not be required to seek any further consent from you). The Company will not be liable for transfer of any PII resulting from loss or distribution of data, the delineation or corruption of media storage, power failures, natural phenomena, riots, act (s) of vandalism, sabotage, terrorism or any other event beyond the Company’s control. Further, the Company’s Privacy Policy does not cover the use of Cookies by its partners and affiliates since the Company does not have access to or control over such Cookies.
- Some of your PII will be shared with Merchants who supply and service your order. These Merchants (who are essentially retailers) operate on the Platform.
- Your PII may also be shared with third-party service providers in order to provide you with Services you have availed of on the Platform. For instance, we may need to share your name, contact details, and address with delivery and logistics partners in order to secure delivery fulfilment and/or third party payment service providers to enable payment through the Platform.
- We hereby disclaim any liability for any acts or omissions of any third-party associated with us. However, we may choose to assist you or facilitate any resolution of dispute in relation to the use of your information by such third-parties.
- Lastly, we may be required to share your information to comply with any legal obligation which may attach to us. We may share your information in good faith with authorities to: (i) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (ii) protect rights or property or affiliated companies; (iii) prevent a crime or in interest of national security; or (iv) protect personal safety of our users or the public. We may also disclose Your PII to enforce or apply our Privacy Policy and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or our safety, safety of our users or others.
- Security of Information
- The Company takes the security of your information very seriously. The Company protects your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction by using technology that is market standard to encrypt personal data. The Company has put in place appropriate methods and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure such information. It only processes PII in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual. Platform allows users access to their PII and allows them to correct, amend or delete inaccurate information.
- The Company uses commercially reasonable precautions to preserve the integrity and security of your information against loss, theft, unauthorised access/use, disclosure and reproduction.
- The information that is collected from you may be transferred to, stored and processed at any destination within and/or outside India. By submitting information on the Platform or providing it to us through any other means of communication, you agree to this transfer, storing and/or processing of such information. The Company will take such steps as it considers reasonably necessary to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- We restrict access to your PII to our employees and agents on an “as needed” basis. No employee will have knowledge of your password of your account on the Platform.. You are solely responsible for the protection of your account / password against unauthorized access to your password and your electronic device. We do not undertake any liability for any unauthorised use of your account and password.
- In using the Platform, you accept the inherent security implications of data transmission over the internet. Therefore, the use of the Platform will be at your own risk and the Company assumes no liability for any disclosure of information due to errors in transmission, unauthorised third-party access or other acts of third parties, or acts or omissions beyond its reasonable control and you agree not to hold the Company responsible for any breach of security.
- If the Company becomes aware of any breach of the security of your information, it will promptly notify you and take appropriate action to the best of its ability to remedy such a breach.
- Exclusion
- This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information other than information collected by the Company through the Platform including such information collected in accordance with the clause on “Collection of Information” above. This Privacy Policy will not apply to any: (a) information provided by you directly to a Merchant or to any End-user, as the case may be; (b) unsolicited information provided by you through this Platform or through any other means. This includes, but is not limited to, information posted on any public areas of the Platform. All such unsolicited information shall be deemed non-confidential and the Company will be free to use and disclose such unsolicited information without limitation.
- The Company also protects your PII off-line other than as specifically mentioned in this Privacy Policy. Access to your PII is limited to employees, agents, partners or other third parties, who the Company reasonably believes will need that information to enable the Company in providing Services to you. However, the Company is not responsible for the confidentiality, security or distribution of your own PII by our partners and third parties outside the scope of our agreement with such partners and third parties.
- Data Retention
- Your information will be retained with the Company if your account is active or as needed to provide Services to you. If you wish to cancel your account or request that the Company no longer uses your information to provide Services, you may contact the Company at support@peppill.com. The Company will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with its legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce its agreements or for other business purposes.
- Please note that uninstalling the App will not result in deletion of Your PII.
- Minor’s Privacy
- Platform is not intended for use by minors and the Company strongly encourages you and your representatives to supervise the online activities of your and your representatives’ minor children. If you are under 18 years of age, then please do not use or access the Service(s) at any time or in any manner. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child under 18 years of age has visited the Platform or otherwise accessed the Service, then you may alert us at support@peppill.com and request that we delete that child’s PII from our systems. If we learn that a person under 18 years of age has used or accessed the Platform or Service or any PII has been collected on the Platform from persons under 18 years of age, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.
- Opt-out Procedures
- Upon initial communication from the Company, you may opt-out of receiving further communications from the Company. To be completely removed from the Company’s mailing list, you may contact us at support@peppill.com. If you are using an e-mail forwarding service or other similar service, please make sure to include the correct e-mail address or addresses.
- Other Links and Widgets
- The Platform may include links to other websites or applications whose terms and privacy practices may differ from those of the Company. The inclusion of a link does not imply any endorsement by the Company of any such third party, the third-party website or application, or the information on the third-party website or application. If the user(s) access(es) or submits PII to any of those websites or applications, such access and information shall be governed by the terms of use and privacy policies of such third-party websites or applications, as the case may be, and the Company disclaims all responsibility or liability with respect to these terms, policies or the websites or applications. The users are encouraged to carefully read the terms and privacy policy of any website and application that they visit.
- You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any loss or damage which may be incurred by you as a result of the collection and/or disclosure of your information via third-party links, as a result of any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy or existence of any advertising, products services, or other materials on, or available via such third-party links. This will include all transactions, and information transmitted therein, between you and any such third-party sites or applications or resources, such transactions are strictly bi-partite. We shall not be liable for any disputes arising from or in connection with such transactions between you and the aforementioned third parties.
- The Platform may include social media features, such as widgets or interactive mini programs that run on the Platform. These features may collect your IP address, the page which you are visiting on the Platform, and may set a Cookie, to enable the proper functioning of the feature. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on the Platform. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the entity providing it, and not that of the Company.
- Notification of Changes
- We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without advance notice. In the event there are significant changes in the way we treat your PII, or in the Privacy Policy document itself, we will display a notice on the Platform or send you an email informing you on such changes, so that you may review the changed terms prior to using the Platform. Using the Company’s Services or accessing the Platform, after a notice of change sent to you or published on the Platform, will constitute your consent to the changed terms. You acknowledge that it is your responsibility to check this Privacy Policy for any updates or changes to the Company’s privacy practices.

Therefore, although we are committed to protecting your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your information or private communications will always remain private. As a user of the Platform or our Services, you understand and agree that you assume all responsibility and risk for your use of the Platform, the Internet generally, and the information you post or access and for your conduct on and off the Platform.
- Indemnity: You agree and undertake to indemnify us in any suit or dispute by any third party arising out of disclosure of information by you to third parties either through our Platform or otherwise and your use and access of websites, applications and resources of third parties.
- Severability: Each clause of this Privacy Policy shall be and remain separate from and independent of and severable from all and any other clauses herein, except where otherwise expressly indicated or indicated by the context of the Privacy Policy. The decision or declaration that one or more clauses are null and void shall have no effect on remaining clauses of this Privacy Policy.
- Limitation of Liability: The Company shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, special, indirect, exemplary or punitive damages, or damages for any loss of profits, revenue or business, regardless of the nature of the claim, even the Company has been notified of the possibility of such damages.
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction: This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India as applicable between residents of India without regard to any principles of conflict of laws. Any and all disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
